We care for children from 6 weeks to
6 years of age
Our program is based on the Early Years Learning Framework and designed to encourage your child’s autonomy, self-confidence and
self-esteem.
About us
Connecting with our community is important to Generations Early Learning. Each of our rooms connects us to local landmarks, places and country.
Mondellimin Room
‘Mondellimin’ is the name given to the Chaffey Landing area at Merbein, on the banks of the Murray River, by the local Nyeri Nyeri indigenous peoples. Our Mondellimin Room is a modern space that can cater for up to 50 people and is a great place to have your next meeting or function.
Bookings are essential.

Cowanna Room
Cowanna Room is our Pre-Kinder Room that caters for children aged from 3 to 4 years.
‘Cowanna’ is believed to be an indigenous name for a riverbend located along the Murray River at Merbein. The Merbein sandbars along the riverbanks behind the old racecourse and at Cowanna Bend, were always popular spots for locals.
Dalmura Room
Dalmura Room is our Infant Room and caters for children aged from 6 weeks to 2 years.
The room is named after the original citrus and vine property on which Generations Early Learning now stands. Dalmura was the first home of Harry and Rene Symons (nee Wellington) and their children, Judith (Robbins), Bob and Helen. The name pays tribute to the family that once settled on this site and made it their home.
Marseda Room
Marseda Room is our Kinder Room catering for children aged from 4 to 6 years.
Marseda is a historical Merbein home located close to Chaffey Aged Care. It was the family home of Nelson Edward and Minnie Elizabeth Wellington (nee Smith). They had six children, Nelson Frederick, Minnie, Daisy (Alma), Margaret, Irene, and Adele, all born in Ballarat before relocating to Merbein prior to 1920.
Eldora Room
Eldora Room is our Toddler Room that caters for children aged from 2 to 3 years.
The name Eldora, originates from the historic house that is located on Yelta Road. Eldora was built by Stephen James Thompson for his wife, Annie, and family during 1916 and 1917. Eldora Room pays tribute to the grand home that forms part of the rich history
of Merbein.
